To The Red Crayola, sound is their paintbrush. Musically they attempt to create suitable feeling according to lyrical content. Music is also their instrument of communication, most songs put forward political points of view, not pleasurable listening.
Mayo Thompson (guitar), the only original member left since the first line-up in 1966, directs his musicians with flailing arms and shares vocals with Gina Birch and Lora Logic (sax), who make 'An Old Man's Dream' the most tolerable piece of the set.
